Catch Up Time: Are You Ready to 'Let it Shine'?!

Hey everyone! It's Matt back! I've been so busy that I really haven't posted and I'm really sorry! Tommy is the only one who is really keeping this site up on it's feet so let's give him a round of applause! Thanks Tommy! But he's just been posting for his audience. I've just left my audience hanging. So now I'm giving you guys something to be excited about! Remember that movie  told you about last summer that was in production, :Let it Shine? Well it's coming out pretty soon and that's this summer! The film stars Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris), Coco Jones (Radio Disney's Next Big Thing, Season 3), and Trevor Jackson! The movie looks amazing and I'm so excited for it! Check out the trailer below!

The inspiring story unfolds in Atlanta, Georgia, as Cyrus DeBarge and his best friend Kris McDuffy reunite with their childhood friend, teenage singing sensation Roxanne "Roxie" Andrews, whose music label is sponsoring a songwriting contest at a teen club. Cyrus, who writes music under the name "Truth," crafts a heartfelt and contest-winning rhyme about Roxie but to his dismay, his work is mistakenly attributed to Kris. Lacking the confidence to step forward, Cyrus stands by while Kris not only takes credit for the lyrics but ultimately begins to win Roxanne's heart too. Now, it's up to the true poet to overcome self-doubt, seize the opportunity to reveal his authentic self and pursue his dreams. All the while, Cyrus must convince his preacher father that hip-hop music can have a positive message.

Sounds good, right? I love how diverse the film is. Not only that, but the music that we've heard so far is really good. Listen to one of the first songs release below, "Don't Run Away". This song is the song that Cyrus enters into the songwriting contest. Really listen to the message that Cyrus is telling to Roxie.

Catch Up Time: Bits & Pieces

Now he's some more of Catch Up Time! Now let's chat about Disney's new pilot, Bits & Pieces! Sounds really good, to me!

DISNEY CHANNEL ORDERS FAMILY COMEDY PILOT “BITS & PIECES”

Disney Channel has ordered the comedy pilot “Bits & Pieces,” a unique re-imagining of the traditional multicamera family comedy. The series will showcase the bits and pieces of a family’s funniest moments using quick, dynamic storylines that unfold through a series of short comedic vignettes.

“Bits & Pieces” is executive-produced by Andy Fickman (“The Game Plan,” “Race to Witch Mountain”) and Betsy Sullenger (“You Again”) and written by John D. Beck & Ron Hart (“Shake It Up,” “According to Jim”). Production begins in June in consideration for a Disney Channel series to premiere in 2013.

In the story, the family tree gets a whole lot bigger when high school basketball coach Pete marries the school psychologist Jodie, much to the chagrin of their four kids. Willful teenager Alanna recounts all the family moments through comedic vignettes, while her awkward brother Sticky and their new step siblings Crystal and Brody help fill in the bits and pieces as they begin their journey together as a new family.

This is so awesome! I love it! I think it's one of the best Disney Channel pilots they've thought of in a long time! Casting is going on right now! I think this show can be a huge hit! What do you guys think? Comment!

Catch Up Time: He's a Dog With a Blog!

Hey everyone! It's Matt, finally here! I've been so busy and I've been attached to so many other things for so long that I totally, didn't forget, but never made time to post. Now I'm back and will be posting about a bunch of things that I'm sure you've already heard about but I'm posting it! It's Catch Up Time! I'll be doing "Catch Up Time!"s for a little while. It's just a little segment on TE where we like to catch up on things!

So first, let's catch up on the newest Disney Channel Original Series, Dog With a Blog! Yup! The show was picked up and it stars the awesome Lemonade Mouth drummer and our favorite new teenage girl, G Hannelius ("Leo Little's Big Show", "Good Luck Charlie", "Sonny With a Chance") and Blake Michael ("Lemonade Mouth")! When you first read about the show, it sounds pretty....hard to pull off, but as you keep reading, you'll know that Disney will do an amazing job on this! Check out the press release below!

"DOG WITH A BLOG" - ITS TIME HAS COME!

Disney Channel, the leading TV network for kids and families, has ordered "Dog With A Blog," a live action comedy series from Emmy-winning producer Michael B. Kaplan. A family sitcom from the pet’s point-of-view, it centers on step-siblings whose parents buy them a dog to encourage them to get along. That happens - to some extent - as brother and sister discover a big secret about their family's latest addition… that the dog can talk AND blog. The series will introduce a talented cast, among them, Disney Channel's next big star: a four year-old, mixed breed named Kuma in the role of Stan, the talking dog with a blog. The announcement was made today by Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channel.

Production on the multi-camera series will begin this June in Hollywood for premiere in fall 2012 on Disney Channel U.S. and soon thereafter on Disney Channels around the world.

Starring are:  G. Hannelius ("Den Brother," "Good Luck Charlie"), Blake Michael ("Lemonade Mouth"), Francesca Capaldi ("A.N.T. Farm"), Beth Littleford ("I'm in the Band," "Crazy, Stupid Love," "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart"), Regan Burns ("Wizards of Waverly Place") and Stephen Full ("I'm in the Band") as the voice of Stan the dog. Kuma is a Husky/Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix who was rescued from a shelter. He is trained by Guin Dill and Steve Solomon of Good Dog Animals, an animal company with over 40 years combined experience in the motion picture and TV industry.

Bonnett said, "With our track record of discovering young talent who are 'triple threats,' we launched a nationwide search and our reward is that we found the one dog who could talk, blog and do his own stunts. Working with kids and animals has never been more fun!"

In "Dog With A Blog," Tyler and Avery are new step-siblings. Tyler is popular, charismatic and seems to get by solely on his looks, and Avery is smart, socially responsible and despises guys like Tyler. However, the biggest adjustment for the newly blended family comes with their new dog Stan - who talks and blogs. He's smart, a bit of a trouble maker and loves his new family, who must keep his marvelous ability a secret. Stan's canine point of view, whether in the home, in the yard or on his blog, helps the kids navigate both their new sibling situation and ultimately, becomes the tie that binds the family of six (Tyler, Avery, little sister Chloe, Mom, Dad and Stan). Even though he talks and likes a lot of "human" things, Stan is still pure dog. He chases his tail, barks at mailmen, ardently approaches poodles and is not so wild about cats.

"Dog With A Blog" was created and executive-produced by Michael B. Kaplan who most recently created and executive-produced Disney XD's "I'm in the Band." His credits also include "Frasier" for which he received an Emmy Award, "Roseanne," "Girlfriends" for which he received a BET Comedy Award, and "Doogie Howser, M.D."  The pilot was directed by Neal Israel ("Kickin' It," "Zeke and Luther," "Even Stevens") and produced by Leo Clarke ("Pair of Kings").

Disney's policy and core principles help ensure the protection and proper care and treatment of animals that appear in Disney-branded series and movies.

Jessie and Austin & Ally Picked Up for Season 2 and Jessie Gets a Movie!

So Disney Channel has just picked up 2 series for a second season! Austin & Ally AND Jessie! Both amazing shows! 

So looks like there is a bright future for Ross Lynch, Teen Beach Musical and more Austin & Ally! But he is not the only one with all the glory. Debby Ryan is one a roll! Radio Rebel, season 2 of Jessie, AND there's still more! Disney also has ordered a script for a Jessie DCOM! Jessie was a hit show from the start so a Disney Channel Original Movie is just going to make it better!

 Austin & Ally and Jessie (wow, all names, lol) have all been ranked #1 a huge number of times and have amazing rating. They definitely deserve this!

Teen Beach Musical, A New DCCOM Coming 2013!

Ya know the Disney Upfront that they recently held for 2012? Well they announced this awesome movie, Teen Beach Musical! And now we have the official announcement for the movie!!! It stars our favorite guy, Ross Lynch from Austin & Ally. So it's a very...different movie. So, is it about a love story that takes place on a teen beach summer hang out and it's a musical? NO! It's much less cheesy and much different from your normal musical! Check out the press release below!

Hey it's Matt with extremely EXCITING news! I got SO excited when I saw this, being a huge Disney fan! Disney has just held their annual upfront that they hold every year! This year it gets really juicy will the theme, "Into the Future"! They have released a press release on all the things planned for 2012 and partly 2013 on their networks! Awesome, right! They have tons of new shows, movies, and events packed for us throughout the year! They even have a newly designed Disney Channel website which has tons of interactive features! Okay so this is very cool! Remember those old amazing Disney Channel shows? Like That's So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, The Proud Family, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Even Stevens, and Kim Possible? Well I know that we all miss them! Well, Disney has just signed a deal with YouTube and now they have a new Disney YouTube channel that has full length episodes of all of their shows, new and old! Now you can relive the old times and watch all of your favorite old shows and watch all of your favorite current shows! The channel is called disneysshows! Who Is Radio Rebel?

Who Is Radio Rebel?????? Hey guys, it’s Matt here! So, I haven’t posted in a while but here I am now! Tonight the most awaited movie of February premieres! Radio Rebel! Radio Rebel stars Debby Ryan as Tara Adams, the shy girl who’s rockin a big secret! Could she be Radio Rebel? I don’t know! Okay, let’s cut the act, she IS Radio Rebel! The movie is a Disney Channel Original Movie, that teaches us to embrace your awesomeness, reject the status quo, and stand up for who you are. Watch the trailer below!

Matt's Wizards of Waverly Place Series Finale Review!

Hey everybody! So I haven’t posted in a while so I’m gonna post! So a few weeks ago the Wizards of Waverly Place Series Finale premiered! It was so good! We all loved it so much! What did we absolutely love about it? There so much! I give it 5/5 stars! I will really miss Wizards but I really loved the finale!

*SPOILER ALERT!*

So first I want to mention, if you haven’t seen the finale yet, go see it now! Not only that, but don’t read the review because it is spoiler filled! Okay so anyway, I really liked the plot! It had a lot of twists and things that I didn’t expect. The competition really spilt Alex, Justin, and Max apart! I really felt bad for Alex. So Alex wanted to save Harper and Zeke during the competition. They were taken away by a griffin and into his nest. So the siblings took a timeout to save them. Apparently, they timed out and the competition was over. I think Justin definitely overreacted! I know he was mad that he couldn’t even get a chance at being the Family Wizard but he didn’t have to blame Alex and be so mean to her! And then Max, well I don’t know about him. He was just siding with Justin! But when Jerry threatened to close the store they all teamed up to save the family business! And then they got back into the competition!  It was all just a test to make them work together!

7:45 p.m. – "Phineas and Ferb"

"Phineas and Ferb's Family Christmas Special" – The boys decide to put on a traditional family Christmas special featuring their family, friends and a few very special guests, including Kelly Clarkson (playing herself). The episode features three new holiday songs – Isabella's "Let it Snow," a Buford and Baljeet rendition of "Good King Wenscelas," and the whole gang singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Austin & Ally Premieres December 4th On Disney Channel!

Awesome news! The all new Disney Channel Original Series, Austin & Ally, is going to premiere December 4th! And a preview of the series will premiere December 2nd, along with the premiere of Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas! Check out the promo below!

OMG! Disney has released the official trailer for the  all enw Disney Channel Original Movie, based on the show, Good Luck Charlie, Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas! It looks so good and I can't wait for this movie! In the movie, the Duncans are going on a trip to Palm Springs to visit Amy's parents for Christmas! But, they family ends up getting split up and have to go through a crazy adventure to meet back together before Christmas!



Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas, premieres in December, right around the holidays! This trailer already gets me excited for the holidays and it outs me in a Christmas kind of mood! I can't wait for this movie! Comment and tell me what you think!

New Disney Channel Original Movie, Let It Shine, In Production!

Hey everyone! Matt here with some exciting news! There is a new Disney Channel Original Movie musical coming our way! Disney is very famous for their musicals and I think this one might just be their next hit! This new movie is called, Let It Shine! Here is the official Disney Channel press release:

Production has begun in Atlanta, Georgia on the Disney Channel Original Movie "Let It Shine," a modern day teenage Cyrano de Bergerac set in the world of gospel music and hip-hop. The movie is scheduled to premiere in summer 2012 on Disney Channel; its soundtrack will include 12 original songs by acclaimed music producers/songwriters/performers such as Rock Mafia (Selena Gomez and The Scene "Love You Like a Love Song"), Grammy-winner Toby Gad (Beyoncé "If I Were A Boy" and Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry") and David Banner ("Dance the Night Away" featuring Denim from "Footloose" and "Get Like Me" featuring Chris Brown and Yung Joc).

The story follows 16-year-old Cyrus DeBarge, an aspiring musician who has a gift for rhyme yet lacks the self-confidence to take the stage

Who Do You Think Should Shake It Up and Make Their Mark?

 Hey peoples! Matt here! On Friday the Shake It Up Make Your Mark Ultimate Dance Off premiered! This is Disney's first ever dance competition and this could make the history books! The Disney themed ones of course! Kids from everywhere made a dance audition video and submitted it to Disney! Out of over 30,000 kids who auditioned, 6 were chosen to make their mark! Let's meet the finalists:

So, if you watched the dance competition on Friday, you might know some of this stuff. The star of the hit show, "Jessie", Debby Ryan, hosted the event with "Shake It Up" stars, Roshon Fegan, who plays Ty, and Brandon Johnson, who plays Gary Wilde! Then they had a panel of 3 celebrity judges, choreographer of Shake It Up and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, Rosero McCoy, famous hip-hop artist, Sean Kingston, and the one we all know and love, famous singer and star of "Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena Gomez! The show worked like this,

Phineas and Ferb Feature Film Release Date!

 

Hey everyone! The creators of Phineas and Ferb, Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire, have confirmed that there will be a Phineas and Ferb feature film that will debut in theaters a little bit before the tv movie premiered! Now, they have a confirmed release date! The film will be released in theaters, July 26th, 2013! Phineas and Ferb is a hit show and the tv movie, Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, was amazing! I'm so excited to see this movie!
