Filming of The Amazing Spider Man Sequel Begins Next Week

It's TommyTE here!

I know it's been a while but I've been very busy so I'm sorry. I hope you all have enjoyed your Christmas and New Years holiday. Happy New Year!

Well as we all know, The Amazing Spider Man sequel will include Jamie Foxx as Electro, Dane Dehaan as Harry Osborn, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, and will reprise Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone was Gwen Stacy. The film will be directed by Marc Webb and scripted by James Vanderbilt, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci and will be released on May 2, 2014.
While there hasn't been any news or hints at the film's plot, it has been confirmed by director Marc Webb that filming in London and other areas will begin next month.

So stay tuned for all of the reports on set photos and videos on the filming of the Spider Man sequel and other hints towards the films plot, all month long here at Teen Entertainment!

Man of Steel Second Trailer Released!

Hey comic book fans!

It's TommyTE here!

Recently this week there were a bunch of new trailers for upcoming 2013 films released. Of the new trailers, was a new preview for Man of Steel, the Superman reboot coming June 14, 2013.

Unlike the first trailer for the Man of Steel, in this new preview we get to see a little more of Clark Kent's origin story, and a lot more action and awesome effects! Still no sign of the featured villain in the film, but this trailer does show that this film possibly will be a lot more emotional, dark, and in depth character wise than the past Superman films, much like The Dark Knight Trilogy. The Superman reboot will borrow the same producer, Christopher Nolan, from the recent Batman films, and will be starring Henry Cavil as Clark Kent/ Superman.

Check out the new trailer below:

News Fest: Iron Man 3 Trailer, Jamie Foxx as Electro in TAS 2

It's TommyTE here with some new comic book movie news!

The latest trailer for Iron Man 3 has been released:

It has also been confirmed that Jamie Foxx will be Electro, the villain, in The Amazing Spider-Man sequel which is due out in 2014.

The director Marc Webb stated,
“[The story with the parents] is the long shadow that’s cast over the three films. I want these films to have a serialized component, and there’s a slow burn to that. I need to leave some juice for the second movie. That was one of the more exciting things about creating Spider-Man, was that I could create more than one and there was a serialized component to it.

“When I was thinking about the universe as a whole—and I talked about this with [screenwriter] Jamie Vanderbilt way back in the day—that all crazy stuff in this universe emerges from Oscorp. Oscorp predates Spider-Man and Peter Parker. His parents were involved in some way. And Oscorp represents… The building itself, there was something iconic about it. To me it’s like the Tower of Babel, which is this testament to man’s hubris. Peter’s relationship will evolve with it over time. That was really one of the central components, one of the pieces that tied all these stories together, this relationship with Oscorp.”

Stay tuned for more news.

Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane in The Amazing Spider-Man Sequel

Hey nerds!

Recently, THR has released some information regarding the character Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider sequel.

The Mary Jane role is proving to be only a very small part in Amazing Spider-Man 2 but blossoms into an integral lead for the planned third movie as the studio seeks to build to the classic “Death of Gwen Stacy” story.

This confirms two things. Mary Jane will be in The Amazing Spider Man sequel and third film, and Gwen Stacy will be killed off in the sequel. If you've read the comics, you know that after Gwen Stacy dies, Mary Jane comforts Peter Parker/Spider-Man, which sparks the relationship between Peter and Mary Jane.

So who will be playing Mary Jane Watson?
Well Shailene Woodley, from The Secret Life of the American Teenager has been confirmed to play Mary Jane. I'm sure many of you have seen that show (I haven't) and know much about Shailene Woodley. Since I've never seen it or have ever seen Woodley act, I guess it'd be a good time to catch up on all of the episodes.
In my opinion, I think Shailene Woodley looks great for the role of Mary Jane Watson. I think it's pretty fascinating how this new take of The Amazing Spider-Man is sort of a modern-teenage style Spidey. Yeah I'm a comic book nerd, but I still agree with this new style of Spidey. I mean to be honest, I don't wanna see a middle-age man like Tobey Maguire swinging around in tights. Peter Parker has always been a high schooler and a younger cast to play these high schoolers means more movies..
I think that Shailene Woodley fits right in with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

No 'Teen Entertainment The Dark Knight Rises Review' Coming this Summer

Hey fans.

For a few weeks now after the release of 'The Dark Knight Rises', I've been holding off my review for the film which has affected the new summer segment, 'Summer Superhero Smashdown'. Well now I'm here to confirm that I won't be reviewing the summer's final highly anticipated blockbuster, 'The Dark Knight Rises'. I'm truly sorry if you're a fan of the film franchise and have been waiting for my review, or if you're a fan of TE and our new summer segment. Stay tuned after the jump for more info.

Catch Up News: Video Games - Halo 4, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Medal of Honor

TommyTE here!

To kick off the month of August, we have an update on video game FPS shooters. The most anticipated game of 2012, Halo 4, along with two other games called Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and the highly anticipated Medal of Honor Warfighter.

Personally I'm excited for Halo 4 and cannot wait until it's release. The newest trailer gives us a glimpse at the interesting story and gameplay, revealing hints at the deep stories that will allow gamers to delve right into the Halo lore. The game also has unbelievable graphics! Check it out below:

Also, a new trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops has been released that tells about future warfare. Don't you think the Call of Duty developers are running out of ideas?? The whole point of the franchise was to have games set in real wars like WWI and WWII. They changed to modern warfare and now to future warfare.
In my opinion, I don't think the story or campaign will be anything special. It always seemed like the developers just throw the campaign together (besides MW1). Modern Warfare 3 was a huge disappointment and Black Ops 1 wasn't anything special (still can't figure out the story to this day and the campaign has zero replay ability). Just my two cents.
Well for the Call of Duty fans, here is the trailer below.

Finally, here is the Medal of Honor Warfighter Preacher trailer!
The graphics look amazing, maybe on the same level as Halo 4's graphics, or maybe even better!
This might make my list!
Check it out below!

Halo 4 and Medal of Honor Warfighter look like they'll be the best games of the year!
But even if they are, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will still outsell them, for many stupid reasons!

-Thanks, TommyTE!

Teen Entertainment Review: The Amazing Spider-Man

It's TommyTE here with a new Teen Entertainment Review!

As part of the Summer Superhero Smash-down, I am reviewing the excellent and highly anticipated summer blockbuster 'The Amazing Spider-Man', which beats 'The Avengers' by 0.2 points!

**Spoilers**

Rating: 4.7 out of 5

Review: Well finally it is here! The Amazing Spider-Man is in theaters now, and yes it is as amazing as it is described by its title! To begin the review, I'll start of by telling a little bit about my experience. So I viewed the film Tuesday night at around 9pm and the film is 2 hours and 20 minutes, so I ended up going to bed at around 12:30 am. The theater was packed with people of all ages, from the toddlers to the teens, adults, and senior citizens. Everyone in the audience enjoyed the film and all participated in applauds and laughs which made a great time! After coming out from the film, I knew that it already had top spot on the list of my fav. films. I call it the "the best Spidey ever!" The film had few flaws, and IMO, THE BEST FILM OF THE SUMMER SO FAR! I think it deserves to gross a lot more than the previous Spider-Man films, and I think many people just need to give it a chance. Right now the film is doing great but is not making as much as the previous films domestically, but it is making a ton more internationally! I'm going to make sure I get the chance to go see it another time before The Dark Knight Rises is released, because that is when this film will drastically drop in sales.
If you're one of those people refuse to see it because it's a reboot, I beg you to give it a chance, and I guarantee, that you will choose The Amazing Spider-Man over Spider-Man, Marc Webb over Sam Raimi, Emma Stone over Kristen Dunst, and most importantly Andrew Garfield over Tobey Maguire. I will get into the Garfield vs Maguire thing later, but first I'll start off with the review of the story. To make this review easier to read and get through, I'll separate it into different sections. Story, Characters, Action, Tone, Post-Credit Scene. Enjoy reading!

Load of Brand New Clips from 'The Amazing Spider Man'

Hey viewers!

For those who aren't here for Spider Man news, well I'll try to bring news of other topics, especially for Matt's crowd, since Matt hasn't been posting for a while. He's been doing other stuff on the web, but you may find him on our TE Youtube Channel or on some Disney Wikis. As for DC Dude, he should be returning to TE very soon with a warm welcoming, coming back from a religious event after 2 years.

For now, its going to be Spider Man mania. Recently, loads of new clips from The Amazing Spider Man has been released. So far, The Amazing Spider Man is kicking The Dark Knight's b-u-t-t in marketing! Yet, The Avengers are dominating the box office and are now holding the position as the 3rd highest grossing film of all time! Which film do you think will take the throne summer? Comment, and check out the clips below!

In my last post, I reviewed the preview to the film's OST. I thought it was disappointing and not as epic and dramatic as I thought it should be. Without a doubt, I was wrong. In these clips, the score fits perfectly into the scenes. In fact I think I will get to love the score!
That's another five points to the webhead and James Horner in the Summer Superhero Smashdown!

Stay tuned for more!

The Amazing Spider Man Behind the Scenes Footage and Score Preview

Hey webheads!

Recently, a preview to The Amazing Spider Man score by James Horner has been released. As I've said before, I will judge the score strictly. Because I've only heard a preview, I can't rate the entire score. But from what I've heard, the score is not what I expected. I was expecting music similar to the scores playing in the first and second trailers (not the third trailer...not dubstep.) Instead, the music sounds more like the happy-go-lucky score from Sam Raimi's trilogy. Not that I don't like that music, it's just that I was anticipating on the film having music like the epic-dramatic-almost-dark type of soundtracks. Hopefully the music we've heard fits well into the movie, because the movie itself looks epic-dramatic-almost-dark which is why it looks better than the Raimi films. Anyway, check out the score preview below, and the scores from the two trailers:

Also, behind the scene footage to The Amazing Spider Man has been released. Check them out after the jump!

New Footage and Rating in The Amazing Spider Man TV Spot

Hey moviegoers!

In a new The Amazing Spider Man TV spot, we get a glimpse at some new footage of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) as he tests out his new spidey powers. The rating for the film has also been released, and with no surprise, the film is rated PG-13. The Sam Raimi films were rated PG-13, and most superhero films today are rated PG-13, so it'd be more of a surprise if the film was rated anything but PG-13. There is no word on why it is rated, and the FOV of the TV spot cuts off the rating description. My guess would be; PG-13 for Intense action sequences and brief sensuality.
Atleast for the adults, they will know that the young ones will have to be monitored while watching this film.
Anyway, check it out below!

Be sure to check out the MTV Movie Awards tomorrow night on MTV, for exclusive footage from The Dark Knight Rises and possibly a new TV spot to The Amazing Spider Man. This is all part of the Summer Superhero Smashdown!

-Thanks, TommyTE!

New 'The Amazing Spider Man' Australian Trailer, Movie Runtime. and OST Tracklist Released!

Hey viewers!

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day! To end your night, or start your day, a new Australian trailer for 'The Amazing Spider Man' has been released. The trailer contains some new footage, including a new look at the Oscorp building which appears to be larger than the Empire State Building, and we get a romantic comedic short scene with Spidey and Gwen.
Along side the new trailer, the runtime for the movie has been confirmed by Stark Industries Ru on Twitter. Also, the tracklist for the film's OST composed by James Horner, has been released and it does contain spoilers. So...**SPOILER ALERT** blah blah blah. Anwyay check out all the info below:

The runtime for The Amazing Spider Man is, 136 minutes confirmed by Stark Industries Ru. The film will run at 2 hours and 16 minutes, which is no surprise considering the runtime for most action or superhero movies today.

Here is the track list for the OST composed by James Horner: beware SPOILERS!

The Amazing Spider Man Six Minute Preview and Twizzlers TV Spot

Hey moviegoers!

I'm here once again wit more super news!

Finally The Amazing Spider Man six minute preview has been leaked online and it's probably the best preview/trailer we've gotten yet! We get to see a little bit of "talk" between Peter (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen (Emma Stone). Some of the footage is new, but for the most part its footage we've already seen aside from the talk between Peter and Gwen. This is something that wasn't there in the Sam Raimi trilogy. It was more Peter likes MJ, Mary Jane has a dramatic life blah blah blah. Here we see strong chemistry between Peter and Gwen. That  shouldn't be surprising because Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are actually dating in real life. Anyway, check it out below, before it gets taken down!

There is only a month before this films release! It's gonna be huge, and a huge part of TE's Summer Superhero Smash-down. Check out the page for the Summer Superhero Smash-down above!

New The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Posters Showing Off Vampire Bella, Edward, and Jacob

Hey it's TommyTE!
I'm back after like ten minutes...well I guess the Twihards didn't bother to check the news for today because it's all been superhero smashdown news.
Well today there is a load of news! I guess this is sort of a makeup for lack of news in April. Well, we're sorry and we're back with grand news!

In Twilight Breaking Dawn news, three new poster have been released showing off Vampire Bella along with Edward and Jacob. Check 'em out below! I think Sharkboy is wearing lipstick. Well Bella looks like a mom now...IMO.

Forever, forever, forever, forever, forever, forever...has to mean something. We'll find out November 16th for sure.

Stay tuned for more news
-Thanks, TommyTE!

Film Synopsis: In the highly anticipated next chapter of the blockbuster The Twilight Saga, the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.
After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal.
But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle.
The suspenseful and deeply romantic Breaking Dawn continues the epic tale of supernatural fantasy and passionate love that has made The Twilight Saga a worldwide phenomenon.

New The Amazing Spider Man Featurette and Stills with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (Updated)

Hey web-heads!

The Amazing Spider Man film has gone off the grid in marketing! It's been releasing new videos and stills almost every week! If you go catch the new Men In Black film in IMAX 3D, you'll be able to catch a new six-minute preview as well, prior to the four-minute preview tat was released this past Monday during America's Got Talent! The Cape Crusader has also been fighting back as three new banners and the first two TV spots to The Dark Knight Rises has just been released. The Summer Superhero Smash-down is getting personal!

On a side note, I will be sure to bring you all my review to The Avengers as soon as possible; I still haven't seen it yet, it looks awesome though. The Avenger is also dominating the box office taking the place as the highest grossing Disney of all time! The Dark Knight and our friendly neighborhood hero have some tough competition.

Finally, in movie news, a new featurette to The Amazing Spider Man has been released, as well as two new stills. As far as the stills go, we get a new look at Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. This looks like it'll be probably take place at the end of the movie, because of the expressions Garfield and Stone have on their faces. In the second photo, we see the transformation of Dr. Curt Connors from man to reptile! In the featurette...well enough talk, check out the featurette below and the stills after the jump!-->
