Selena Gomez "Come & Get It"...without the Scene?

DC Dude here with "What's the Teen Word?". So Selena announced her new single last week, "Come & Get It"! I was super excited and did a happy dance and everything since she was hinting about it on her Facebook for a couple days. They finally released the cover art and I love it! I am really looking forward to this song and cannot wait for the album.
But I couldn't help but notice something missing from the cover art...the Scene! I know that on the radio they'd never say "Selena Gomez & the Scene"...which is a mouthful. But that's what it is! On the Hollywood Records website they got rid of The Scene a long time ago, so I wonder when that actually happened.
I know that we never got to really know The Scene very well, but I loved how they were in the music videos and they still incorporated them somehow. So I wonder if this removal of The Scene is just because nobody actually says it or...what. I just thought it was interesting how there is no longer The Scene. I really liked the whole name and I'm going to miss it.

What's The Teen Word: Are Silly Bandz The New Trend?!

Hey guys, it's Matt! This is the third What's the Teen Word on Teen Entertainment. The topic is... Are Silly Bandz The New Trend?! Silly Bandz are these really coll breacelets for boys and girls that turn into shapes when you take them off! They are very popular. Almost everyone at my school are wearing and collecting them! I just heard of them last month. I have a few of my own. A bout at least 150. You can get them from Animals, to Pets, to Sea Creatures, to regular shapes! In the picture above they show the sea creature ones. But you can get ones shaped like a pretzel, a sandwich, sunglasses, and even a dog bone! They never get bent out of shape! So the question is are these the new trend. If everyone is wearing them, trading them, collecting them and all the other things you can do with them, then don't you think most likely they are the new trend? I think so. But how long will they last? Maybe they will just last until the end of summer, or until the end of this year, or myabe the trend will even go into 2011! WE don't know. You would think that when you first hear about these that they are maybe stupid or whatever. But they actually became very popular! These Silly Bandz are actually really cool. I suggest you get some. What's the Teen Word?- Are Selena And Demi Still Bestys?

Hey guys! It's Matt! This is the first new TE segment ever posted on TE! Now that we started these segments will be in full mode! What's the Teen Word? Well let's just focus on the buzz that's been buzzing around teens lately. Are Selena and Demi still friends? What do I say? I say yes. Just because they don't hang around anymore doesn't mean they are not friends anymore. They are really busy. But I also think that they may not be friends or they just may not be as close friends as they used to be. In a video when Demi was signing autographs for fans a reporter asked her "How's Selena?" and Demi said "Ask Taylor" as in ask Taylor Lautner or Taylor Swift depending on which ever one she was referring to. She either meant ask Taylor because I don't care or ask Taylor because I am busy or ask Taylor because she/he is her best friend now. Remeber when they were on Barney and Friends? I know for a fact I saw those episodes that they were in. When i saw the picture of them on it I recognized them. They were so cute. I actually still like Barney. It's just fun turning it on and watch my baby sister and brother watch it. What do you think? Everyone says they are not friends anymore except that's not completely true. Actually, we don't know if it is or not. I'm trying not to be the blog that tells things when they have no proof. Do you think it is because of their popularity. Maybe they are trying to out do each other. Selena vs. Demi. They were both in great Disney Channel Movies, they both have great Disney Channel Shows, and they even were in a Disney Channel Movie together. And they were on a show together as little kids. They are even both great singers. There is really no competition here. What is so different from the two?They have been friends for a long time and it should be like that forever. The other day I was looking for an agent for when I go into the singing/hosting buissness. I'm seeing if I can get there. I was thinking how my life may change. And I thought that if i want to stay grounded I should put my friends and family before that. And I think the same should really go for Selena and Demi. Well let's see were all this takes us. And that's the Teen Word! C ya!
