Hey! It's Matt! I really want to cut to it because I have so much to say. I loved Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief! I'm not exaggerating! I mean it! It is my favorite movie! It was better then Twilight, New Moon, or even Transformers! (From here on spoilers may be contained but I still suggest you read this) I loved the action. I loved how the movie never went of topic. They stayed with the plot. I read the whole Percy Jackson and The Olympians series last year. I read The Lightning Thief last Wednesday and Thursday to refresh my memory before I see the movie. The movie is way different from the book! They took out alot of chapters and they added the three pearls thing. They took out a famous character in the book, Clarisse. She is Percy's rival. Not in the way you think. There is a chapter in the book where Clarisse tries to pull a prank on Percy since he is new in the bathroom. Percy uses his water forces and it backfires on Clarisse. Now Clarisse and Percy hate each other. I guarantee you she will be in the next movie. The Sea of Monsters is the next and she goes on a quest in that one. Then Percy sneaks off with his friends because he thinks it should be his quest. Also he needs to save Grover. That one has so much in it. But my point is they will probably put her in it. It's never to late. I loved Percy's mom. She was very compassionate. I loved the fact how she would do anything for him as he would for her. It's just it should be with the mother and the child. I hated Gabe. They made him worse in the movie than in the book. In the end when Gabe went in the refrigerator and saw Medusa's head then turned into stone it was so funny! Even people in the theater started cheering! That was a funny moment! Speaking of Medusa, I loved her. She was played by Uma Thurman. She is really good! She was very sneaky and she would get so close to Percy and Annabeth just to get them to open their eyes. I loved all the characters. I really liked Percy he seems like another better Zac Efron. Annabeth was one of my favorites. She was a real butt kickin chick but, at the same time was beautiful and very compassionate almost like Percy's mom. Grover was hillarious! He made me laugh all the time. Poseidon was my favorite god. In the beginning he seemed so protective of Percy when he was threatening Zeus for Percy's life. When they went to the Lotus Casino I loved it. It was one of my favorite parts. The Underworld part was pretty intense. It's the Underworld not Hell. It seemed like the real Underworld. Hades was funny but Peresephone was enjoyable. It was entertaining watching her. She is a good actress. I loved the movie. What I most liked about it was that the book was asuch a great book and it felt so cool that they put it on the big screen. It was really cool actually seeing the book as a live action movie! I loved it! I just would have liked to see Camp-Half Blood a little more. And it could have been better if they had Clarisse in it. They had so mich cut outs. But hey, the movie was 2 hours and 10 minutes! What more could we ask for?! I love this movie so much and I recomend you see it!
no no no no you are wrong! boys like you are exaggerating and you are just comparing it to those other movies because you know they are better than it. i read the book and saw the movie which seemed to just take the book's plot, but turn most of the great adventure parts around. and really, New Moon and Twilight were better. I love those books and both movies! My 21 year old brother took me to see Transformers 1 because i thought it wouldnt be good but it was okay. i saw the second one with him last summer and i thought it was better than twilight and new moon. so dont go around posting its the best movie ever made. im tellin the truth because no one talks much about it and it didnt break any records, unlike twilight, new moon and transformers 2. the movie was terribly set up after the book. so think whatever, but dont go around tellin its the best thing that ever happened! I better make myself clear!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethe movie really is good...but it wasnt good enough....couldnt keep me hooked long enough... maybe because the cut out a lot things....i was diying to see the camp half blood cabin! but they obviously didnt have enough to spend on insignificant details....the underworld part was amazing!Hades wife was unbeliveably awseome!
