Catch Up News: The Dark Knight Tragedy, Man of Steel Teaser Trailer, & The Dark Knight Rises Theatrical Debut

Hey Teen Entertainment fans.

Today I'm here with some good and bad news, in this week's Catch Up News. Well today I will be briefly catching you all up on important news, dealing with more tragedy over some excitement.

Last Friday July 20th, at a Colorado movie theater, there was a shooting during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises. 12 died while the remaining were injured.
Warner Bros. and President Obama have told what they have had to say on the tragic event, and due to the shooting, the international premieres for the film have been pushed back.
This is a very unfortunate and sad event, and my prayers go out to the families and people who were killed or injured in the tragedy. It's pretty sad how someone could do a terrible thing to innocent people. Taking out their own anger and their own problems on others by taking away innocent lives. It's very sad and selfish of a person who would do such a thing. As a memorial to those who died, I will list all of the 12 names in the banner above.

More information below:

In comforting news, the Man of Steel teaser trailer has been released and shows the man of steel as boy to a man, and eventually to Superman. The movie will be produced by The Dark Knight Trilogy's director, Christopher Nolan and the director of Watchmen and 300, Zack Snyder. The film seems to be going in the dark direction The Dark Knight Trilogy is going in, which in my opinion is pretty exciting. If Christian Bale is willing to, they could do a Justice League in the Future (excluding the 'Green Lantern').

Check out the trailer below: Information provided by YouTube.

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.

In other news, The Dark Knight Rises debuts with $160 million domestically. Due to the tragedy, people are refusing to go see the movie (I know a few of those people). I'm not supporting anyone to not see the film, all I;m saying is to be safe and be cautious in everything you do and everywhere you go. I haven't seen the film yet, but I will be seeing it soon and will post my review very soon.

God bless everyone in the tragedy

Teen Entertainment Review: The Amazing Spider-Man

It's TommyTE here with a new Teen Entertainment Review!

As part of the Summer Superhero Smash-down, I am reviewing the excellent and highly anticipated summer blockbuster 'The Amazing Spider-Man', which beats 'The Avengers' by 0.2 points!

**Spoilers**

Rating: 4.7 out of 5

Review: Well finally it is here! The Amazing Spider-Man is in theaters now, and yes it is as amazing as it is described by its title! To begin the review, I'll start of by telling a little bit about my experience. So I viewed the film Tuesday night at around 9pm and the film is 2 hours and 20 minutes, so I ended up going to bed at around 12:30 am. The theater was packed with people of all ages, from the toddlers to the teens, adults, and senior citizens. Everyone in the audience enjoyed the film and all participated in applauds and laughs which made a great time! After coming out from the film, I knew that it already had top spot on the list of my fav. films. I call it the "the best Spidey ever!" The film had few flaws, and IMO, THE BEST FILM OF THE SUMMER SO FAR! I think it deserves to gross a lot more than the previous Spider-Man films, and I think many people just need to give it a chance. Right now the film is doing great but is not making as much as the previous films domestically, but it is making a ton more internationally! I'm going to make sure I get the chance to go see it another time before The Dark Knight Rises is released, because that is when this film will drastically drop in sales.
If you're one of those people refuse to see it because it's a reboot, I beg you to give it a chance, and I guarantee, that you will choose The Amazing Spider-Man over Spider-Man, Marc Webb over Sam Raimi, Emma Stone over Kristen Dunst, and most importantly Andrew Garfield over Tobey Maguire. I will get into the Garfield vs Maguire thing later, but first I'll start off with the review of the story. To make this review easier to read and get through, I'll separate it into different sections. Story, Characters, Action, Tone, Post-Credit Scene. Enjoy reading!
