200 and Katherine McPhee!

WOOHOO!!!! 200!!!!!!! Finally! With some cool news about Katherine McPhee! You can take a listen to her new album now at iLike! Just click here! She is such a talented artist and this CD is going to be awesome! It comes out on January 5!

Flashback to.....a while ago......

Do you guys remember Aqua? They sang "Barbie Girl" and a ton of other fun pop songs. They broke up a few years ago but now they are back! Their Greatest Hits CD came out in September with two new singles. They are called "Back to the 80's" and "Mamma Said". My favorite of the two is "Mamma Said", but it is a lot better with the music video. But "Back to 80's" is such a fun song. I'm not much of a fan of 80's music, but you can't deny that it was a decade filled with music, movies, and fashion that has shaped today like no other. And that song exemplifies all of that! It is so fun and the music video is all about the decade. Find it and take a listen, you won't be disappointed! (Cover art props go to Coverlandia! You guys are awesome!)

American Idol Album Reviews

I got a few past American Idol contestant's albums this week so I'll just put them all into the same post.
First is Kris Allen. His is so good! He has a very unique sound but it is very contemporary. All his songs are so easy to listen to. "Live Like We're Dying" is probably my favorite on the CD. "Can't Stay Away" and "The Truth" are both really good too. "The Truth" is a little like Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone" where they know that it won't work out, but they don't want to leave each other and don't want the truth to be true or even there. Such a good song! He also wrote all the songs on the album. He does a mix of "Heartless" kind of like the one he did on Idol but with more of a beat. He also writes a song with Chris Daughtry that is also really good.

Second is Allison Iraheta. I love her single "Friday I'll Be Over U" and I couldn't wait to get her CD. I was NOT disappointed at all! It is such a good debut album. She's kind of like Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, and Laday GaGa all wrapped into one. It has a rock & pop sound and juggles and uses them both brilliantly. All her songs have a message inside and are very relevant for today. The most relevant is probably "Robot Love" which is about being in a relationship and the person you're with is attached to their cell phone and other technology. "Scars" is a great song that talks about how we all have our scars from the past and that "whoever we are, we all have our scars". I recommend this CD to all Idol fans and to whoever is looking for a fun new singer to listen to.
Last is Brooke White. She was on American Idol two season ago with the Davids. Her CD came out during the summer and she was on tour recently with Michael Johns (also from Idol) and Benton Paul (another great singer!). She has a very unique style that I don't think everyone would like. It's certainly a classic sound to it and some of the songs just blend into each other. But I really like that it's different and so easy to listen to. Her sound is so unique and different. She also wrote all the songs on her album. My favorite song is probably "Little Bird". You know the saying, "A little birdie told me"? This is a play on that where she asks the bird to tell her something good because she needs something to lift her up. I love "Phoenix"! It's a song about her hometown in Arizona (where I live) and how nowhere seems like this place does. And when you get back to it on a rainy day, it just doesn't feel right. How true that is?!? Arizona is known for its heat and the winters are amazing but it doesn't feel like the normal Arizona. And the title track "High Hopes and Heartbreak" is so fun! It has a disco/pop sound to it and you can't help but nod your head and dance around to it.
And don't forget that the new season of Idol starts on January 12!

Christmas Wrap-Up

I know it's a little late, but with Christmas on a Friday and a cousin's wedding on Saturday....this was the first chance that I could do this.
Christmas this year was one to remember. The last of the decade! Can you believe it? This year and decade has gone by so fast!
There was so much music, movies, and shows this season that were unforgettable! Let's hope next year they can match it!
This year's Disney Resort parade was probably the best yet! The Jo Bros.....awesome, Demi Lovato.....amazing, Celine Dion....FLIPPIN AMAZING!!!! Although, I was disappointed that Celine lipsinked to herself. Steve Rushton was sooooo good! I can't wait to see more from him in Hollywood Records. Stevie Wonders performance was perfect for the holiday season. He was surrounded by his family and doing what they love. They put a smile on my face =)
Now we've got the flashback and other great things to get to the end of the year! I'll be putting up reviews of Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen's debut albums soon too!

Official Teen Entertainment Christmas Playlist Album!

Hey guys, it's Matt! I hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! This picture above is the official Teen Entertainment Christmas Playlist Album Cover! I'll make a New Years one later. A little bit after New Years the album will go on sale on Amazon.com, Ebay, and if I can at Target. If I can, though.
All the songs on the playlist below and more will be featured on the album. I'll even have 2 songs by me, Matt, on the album. My own rock version of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town and a little Christmas song I wrote called, A Stocking Full Of Christmas.
But most songs will be edited and voices will be mixed so we can use the songs and it won't be considered stealing.
My uncle is doing all the work for me so he'll try to get it down as soon as possible. The copys are being made right this moment. I'm so excited!

Christmas Countdown

I can't believe today is Christmas Eve! That is so crazy! Today I'll cover anything that I forgot over the last few days and it's mostly music =)
On the 8th, Kermit and Tiffany Thornton's Christmas single was released. I love their song "I Believe". It encompasses everything about Christmas and just stepping back and noticing everything that it has.
iTunes and Amazon.com have been doing a pretty cool thing for the Christmas season. Every week, iTunes releases two free singles, but this month they were Christmas songs! Most were good, but what do you expect from a free song? They also have a Holiday Sampler with 20 more free songs. Most of those are good too, but again, it was free. Amazon had a free song everyday up to today. Those are just....okay.....most are a little wierd. But, the one song they don't have showing that is for free is Jason Castro's "White Christmas". He was on American Idol with David Archuleta and Brooke White (can you tell I don't like David Cook?). His version of the song is so calm and really makes the song better than it was. I think the reason it's free is because his recording company that he did the song with dropped him and then didn't know what to do with the song.
Don't forget! Tomorrow is the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade. The Jo Bros & Demi are going to be on as well as one of my all time favorite singers....CELINE DION! I think it starts at 8 in the morning....see you then!

StarStruck Soundtrack Cover

Hey! It's Jenny! I'm Matt's best friend! Matt let me make a post! And i have to say this is a great blog! Good job DC Dude, Tommy, Josh, and Matt! Great idea for the countdown DC Dude! Speaking of coutdowns we are almost down to our 200th post! Yah! Well anyway here is the 2010 Disney Channel Original Movie, StarStruck, soundtrack cover. The soundtrack will be released February 9th, 2010. A music video from the movie will be on Disney Channel January 15th 2010 during a Night of Premieres. I can't wait!
-Jenny (Matt's best friend!) :) =) !!)

Christmas Countdown

I can't believe that there is only two more days to Christmas. I went to Wal-Mart today with my sister and I am so glad I finished my shopping last month. It was crazy in there!
Today is all about Christmas specials. From the classics to the newbies, I'm going to try and cover all the good ones.
Starting with the classics, you can never go wrong with Rudolph and Frosty. From "I'm cude!" to "Oatmeal!", they never get old. Although, the second Frosty special with the girl as the magician isn't my favorite. And how many Rudolph's are there? The regular one, Shiny New Year...isn't there another one?
Who doesn't like Charlie Brown? I watched "It's Christmas, Charlie Brown" on Monday and it reminded me of the true meaning of Christmas. Why does it take Linus to remind us all of that? And then the little shorts with some of the character was after that, and Sally's was my favorite. I wish I could fall down a Christmas tree! Then, "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" was on this week too. I had never seen it before and it was hard to take an hour of the Peanuts characters. Rerun was pretty funny, and we got to see a lot of Snoopy too. But in the end, Rerun (Lucy and Linus' little brother) never got his dog! How sad is that?
This year we got two new CG animated specials. NBC's "Merry Madagascar" and ABC's "Prep & Landing". "Merry Madagascar" came a little early. It premiered the week before Thanksgiving, but it was a good start to the holiday season. "Prep & Landing" was so funny! I loved it! My only complaint was that I wish it was a little bit longer. A half-hour special was just too short for that.
"Shrek the Halls" premiered on ABC two years ago, and it's okay. It's not a favorite but it had its funny moments. I love the dancing turkey and the crazed lady in the Christmas store.
Of all the other ones, you've got Grinch, and all the millions of cartoons they show on ABC Family, and the corny but heartwarming movies on Hallmark Channel, all are just a must. Every Christmas, you can't help but watch all the silly new movies they have on Hallmark. They are so predictable, but for a free Christmas movie, what do you expect?
See you tomorrow!

Pair of Kings

There has been a lot of talk about the new Disney XD show "Pair of Kings" recently. It was announced a few days ago, with Mitchel Musso and Doc Shaw starring in the show. Some blogs and new reports and saying "the Hannah Montana veteran, Mitchel Musso". THIS IS NOT TRUE! Mitchel Musso is not leaving Hannah Montana. He is doing both shows at the same time. On his official Facebook, he even said that he will be doing season four of Hannah Montana. He was the first to announce it on there as well. So no worries, Mitchel Musso is doing both.
"Pair of Kings" has a pretty funny storyline to it too. Mitchel Musso and Doc Shaw are fraternal twins, living a normal life. One day, they find out that they are the heirs to the throne to some far off kingdom. Mitchel Musso...Doc Shaw....twins?!?!?!?! How is that not funny!

Christmas Countdown

3 more days until Christmas and today for the TE Christmas Countdown, I'll do some Christmas movie reviews!

First is the Santa Claus trilogy. The first one is such a classic. Tim Allen is so funny and that role just seems natural for him. But when you think about it, Tim Allen + Santa Claus = ????. Seriously! The second one is good. It was a long time since the first came out, but they did a good job. They kept with the classic feel but modernized it with other Holiday people and new faces. Then came the third. It has its funny moments, but overall it doesn't even come close to any of the others. It takes so long to get the climax action, but then it happens so fast! And then Jack Frost is melted in three seconds! Really? Hopefully, if Disney decides to do another, they'll do it right.

Elf has got to be my favorite of all time! It's so funny and so classic. I like how they made it like it was already a classic Christmas movie with all the classic songs in it. One of the best ever.

Another favorite of mine is Christmas with the Kranks. It has Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis in it and they do an awesome job with it. Jamie Lee Curtis is so funny and she and Tim Allen make a great comedy duo in the film. I read the book Skipping Christmas by John Grisham before I saw the movie. They changed the movie name but I don't think they really needed to. But that aside, both the book and the movie are fantastic.

It's a Wonderful Life is the all-time classic Christmas movie...EVER!!!! I watched it a couple of weeks ago and I think it was the first time that I had seen it all the way through. James Stewart is so funny...and its even funnier to hear people doing impressions of him =). What I don't get is that it's really only Christmas for about a half an hour. And it's a long movie too! It has good history in it that plays a good part and is such a heartwarming family time gushy warm movie. The total package.

There are so many Christmas movie out there! I just picked my top ones and reviewed them today. See you tomorrow when I talk about some of the seasons best Christmas specials!

Christmas Countdown

DC Dude here! Christmas is almost here so I thought I would help TE get to 200 posts by Christmas by doing a Christmas countdown this week. Everyday I'll focus on something different (music, movies, shows, and then a wrap-up). So, today is music!

A lot of good Christmas music came out this year! I think it all started with David Archuleta's CD in October. From that point on, new things came out every week. Brooke White, Katharine McPhee, Bianca Ryan, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, Vanessa Hudgens, and a ton of others released new stuff this year. We got another "All Wrapped Up!" from Hollywood Records too. I really liked the new one. It had artists that we know and a couple newbies. I can't wait to hear more from Steve Rushton and Anna Margaret.

Emily Osment released her Christmas single this year as well. She did a cover/re-imagining of "Run, Rudolph, Run". It's one of my favorite Christmas songs to begin with, but she modernized it and made it amazing!

Vanessa Hudgens surprised us all with a new version of "Winter Wonderland". Selena & the Scene also did a version of "Winter Wonderland". My favorite has to be Vanessa's. It's so classic and pure.

The cast of Glee released a cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas". They do such a great job on it. I think it's way better than Ashley Tisdale's version, but hers has some different things to it too. Hers is more of a pop song and keeps it fun, but the cast of Glee put their twist on it and make it so great!

I also discovered some past Christmas albums this year too! I bought Aly & AJ's Christmas album "Acoustic Hearts of Winter" and was blown away. I always knew the duo was talented, but their Christmas songs just confirm that ten-fold!

This Christmas season also showed us some new music other then just Santa Claus and snow. Nick Jonas & the Administration released their single "Who I Am" at the beginning of the month. I was pleasantly surprised! It had pop, rock, a little of 70's rock, and a tinge of country all wrapped into it! Allison Iraheta released her debut album this month too. I haven't listened to all of it (it's on my Christmas list =] ) but it sounds really good on iTunes and Amazon. And today, Katharine McPhee released her last single from her new album "Unbroken". It's called "How" and it's really really good. She is such an amazing singer!

That's today's Christmas Countdown! FOUR MORE DAYS!!!!

See you tomorrow!

New Clash of the Titans and First Shrek Forever After Trailer

Hey Its Tommy Yommy again,

I have got two new trailers for ya! A new Clash of the Titans trailer and the first Shrek Forever After trailer. Of course Shrek Forever AFter is the brand new Shrek movie releasing in May 2010! And of course The Clash of the Titans is the remake from the one made long ago.

Well The Clash of the Titans looks like it may be as good as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! But Shrek Forever After doesn't really look promising! Well enjoy!

HannahJONAS?

Hey Its Tommy here,

There has been alot of MTV talk that the two original Disney shows,

Hannah Montana and JONAS may have a crossover episode. JONAS on Hannah Monatana and Hannah Montana on Jonas.

They've had alot like That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana and Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana

Disney-lovers, it may turn out to be true, but for now nobody knows.

Camp Rock vs. Camp Rock 2 Connect 3 Promo

So which do you like better? The one on the left is the Camp Rock Connect 3 Promo. The one on the right is the Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Connect 3 Promo. Honestly, it's pretty hard to choose. I like both. The Camp Rock one is just a little too bad boy. The Camp Rock 2 one looks more like they cleaned up and that they have a better attitude. But the Camp Rock outfits for the first one are more Camp Rock. The Camp Rock 2 one is more JONAS, not Camp Rock. What do you think?
