June 22nd = Hollywood Records Day

June 22nd is a HUGE day for some of Hollywood Records' biggest artists. Three releases are happening that day. The first:

Miley Cyrus' album "Can't Be Tamed"! I have to admit...I'm pretty excited for this CD. I have recently become a Miley fan and am really excited for her new release. Her single, which is the title track from her sophomore album, is SOOO good. It's very GaGa-ish. It's like they combined "Kicking and Screaming" and "Party in the USA" and got this really fun song. The lyrics also remind me a lot of "Acting Out" by Ashley Tisdale

The next release on the 22nd is:

N.B.T. contestants Allstar Weekend! I wasn't a big fan of them when they were on Radio Disney with "Journey to the End of My Life" and at first didn't like "Different Side of Me". But after listening to Radio Disney Jams 12 more and more, I actually like it. They have a current sound and I think have some potential as being a radio hit as well.

The last 22nd release is a single from my favorite band:

Selena Gomez and the Scene!!!! I am so freaking excited for their new single "Round and Round". On Selena's Facebook, she gave the details to her new single as follows: Planet Premier on Radio Disney on Friday 18, premier of the music video Sunday 20, and on iTunes Tuesday 22. And then that her new CD will come out on September 28!!! Almost a year to the day from the release of "Kiss & Tell". Again...SO EXCITED!

Ashley Tisdale Off to Toronto!

What's Up It's Matt! Ashley Tisdale is off to Toronto, Canada today to start filming Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure! Above is a picture of her at the Toronto airport. Here is what Ashley said on her Twitter this morning:

"Toronto here I come!!!! Xoxo"

Ashley recently caught up with OK! Magazine and said:

"It’s not really Sharpay. She’s still Sharpay, but she’s now the lead of the movie. You used to love to hate her, but now you have to fall in love with her. You get to see why she is the way she is, you see her in a different light. She’s not in college, but she’s supposed to be. She’s in New York City fulfilling her dreams on Broadway."

I'm really excited for this movie! Are you?

Plot:

After her graduation in East High School, Sharpay Evans' big break comes after a talent scout spots her performing with her dog Boi at a charity gala. Sharpay and Boi head to New York, but theatre is a dog eat dog world, and nothing turns out as she expects, especially when she meets her match in a rather daunting Broadway starlet, who arrived in Midtown Manhattan as a recent winner of “So You Think You’re America’s Most Talented Performing Idol”.

The Great White Way is all Sharpay’s ever dreamed of, especially since she already has everything else. Life in the big city is a shock, but there is an even bigger bombshell when Sharpay finally realizes the Broadway role is really for Boi, not her. Putting her disappointment aside, she sets out to make Boi the most fabulous canine star to hit the stage, with the hope that his fame will become her fame. Before long, Sharpay makes a new friend in a student filmmaker, Callem, who finds her to be a fascinating subject.

Joe and Demi Break-Up!

Hey it’s Matt with some pretty bad news. Jemi is over! Joe Jonas broke up with Demi Lovato. Joe didn’t have the heart to do it in person so he had his dad call Demi and explain that things are over. We heard rumors about this before so we don’t know if it’s absolutely true but I’m pretty sure it is. Demi really liked Joe!

Just last week, Lovato gushed to Us Magazine that Jonas was "my first serious relationship...He knows me better than I know myself, and I know him better than he knows himself."

According to Us Magazine.com Joe Jonas thought it would be a bad idea for them to be dating and working together because it might ruin their friendship. Demi had a good cry then she pretty much got over it.

Here is what Demi said on her Twitter. It may reflect on the break-up.

After the week I’ve had, I can PROMISE you I will KILL this show tonight… Get ready for one intense concert.

How will the ex-couple be able to go on tour this summer together? Jemi was a really great couple. What do you think?

Hey! It's Matt again! I have exclusive news on Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, the spin-off the the HSM series. Ashley Tisdale announced that a HSM Star will make a cameo in the new movie. She knows who but she can't tell! Check out the video below.

New Disney Channel Original Series, Shake It Up!

Hey teens! It's Matt. Check out this news that Disney just annouced about the new Disney Channel Original Series, Shake It Up!

The comedy series introduces two high-spirited characters, best friends CeCe Jones and Raquel "Rocky" Blue, whose dreams of becoming professional dancers are realized when they become background dancers on the most popular teen dance show, "Shake it Up, Chicago," a gig they land thanks to their longtime and well-connected friend, Deuce. Between learning a wide range of new dance styles, navigating the backstage antics at the show (especially with their rivals, Tinka and Gunther) and their newfound social status at school, the girls are on their way to new and fun adventures, some that will test their friendship.

I’m really not looking forward to this. This series seems more of a series for girls. It may be more appealing to girls anyway. At first the show was going to be titled Dance, Dance, Chicago but I guess Disney didn’t like it. At first the show was planned for to best friends who are a boy and a girl. Then they changed it. Thies show is alittle too much like Sonny With A Chance. I think Disney really needs to make more shows without famous people and shows that have at least one boy as the main character! Will you watch this show?

New Hollywood Records Artists

DC Dude here again with some interesting news about Hollywood Records. Remember my "What's the Teen Word?" a while ago where I talked about Hollywood Records and their interesting ways? Well, the plot thickens as they have re-done their homepage. Here it is:

Things to note: Pictures have been shuffled (Capra and Allstar Weekend), updated profile pictures (Anna Margaret, Allstar Weekend, Demi Lovato, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Alpha Rev), and TWO new artists.

The first is an all girl pop group called "The Charlies". I'm pretty sure their name comes from Charlie's Angels. I tried to do a little bit of research but not much showed up. They don't have a Wikipedia page yet and their Facebook isn't very helpful either. All I can tell is that they are not from this country. I'm assuming Europe...but we all know what assuming can do to people. From updates on Facebook, it seems they are in L.A. to record. Should be interesting to hear about them in the future.

The next band is called Valora. They made their Hollywood Records debut on the soundtrack for "The Last Song". The band is kinda like Evanescence with a girl lead singer and an all male band. They have a similar sound to KSM, but more edgy and alternative. From the little sample, they really weren't my taste, but their future music could be really good!

I Wanna Be the Very Best!

DC Dude here...with a confession. I LOVE POKEMON!!! I have been playing the games since they first came out and I've always been hooked. I have almost every single version and I play them way too much. But for all you other Poke-fans out there, you know what I mean.

This Saturday is the Regional Championships in Phoenix and I am going! I am so freaking excited...you have no idea. They've already been to two cities this year, searching for the best of the best. They were first in Seattle, then San Fransisco, and this Saturday in Phoenix! I'll be there! I'll post my doings at the event on Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully I'll qualify for Nationals in Indiana!

Allstar Weekend Music Video

DC Dude here with some fun Allstar Weekend news! Last week they had a little contest for all their fans on Facebook, that the first 100 people to respond to an e-mail would be chosen for their new music video! I entered, thinking I wouldn't get in. So I've been checking my e-mail constantly, hoping for anything. Then today I got a reply, saying I was chosen! Tomorrow they will be shooting a music video for their song "Dance Forever". I don't think I'll be able to make it to West Hollywood since I live in Arizona, but I was hoping to get the news earlier and then convince my parents to let me go. But you never know! I'll let you know tomorrow when I give a little review of Miley's new single "Can't Be Tamed".

Tommy's Iron Man 2 Review

Hey teen fans!

So today I just saw Iron Man 2! It was almost as good as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. By the way, Transformers 2 premieres on TV MAX-E tonight at 10. Anyway I think that Iron Man 2 was an extremely good movie, but there are some things I hated about it. here is my review: **SPOILERS ARE CONTAINED IN THE FOLLOWING REVIEW**

Grade:

A-- or B++

Best Details:

To began, I loved that it was much better than the first movie. I also loved Robert Downy Jr. as he reprised the role of Tony Stark for the second time. He was hilarious! I also loved Don Cheadle who actually introduced the character James Rhodey in this movie as War Machine. All of the characters were funny and the action was really good. The Black Widow was cool but wasn't introduced into the series properly. Mickey Rourke was great as the Whiplash! And Samuel L. Jackson was perfect for the role of Nick Fury!

Bad Details:

Finally, the things i hated about Iron Man 2 were, that first the movie could've been longer to me. Second, I think that there wasn't enough parts in the movie where Iron Man and Whiplash battled each other! That's a definte! I also think that the actress who played the Black Widow wasn't properly introduced in to the Iron Man series. And now back to Whiplash, his real name Ivan, wasn't introduced into the beginning of the movie correctly. Also, the ending battle between him, Iron Man, and War Machine was not long enough. Actually, the entire end wasn't long enough!

Well in all, I think that its a defintely- got- to- see- movie!

DCOM 16 Wishes Premiering Friday, June 25

Hey! It's Matt with the latest news on the new Disney Channel Original Movie, 16 wishes, starring Debby Ryan! It is premiering on Disney Channel Friday, June 25.

The world premiere of "16 Wishes," starring Debby Ryan ("The Suite Life on Deck"), is set for FRIDAY, JUNE 25 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The movie follows Abby Jensen (played by Ryan), a teenager who can't wait to grow up, and when she’s handed the chance to make all her wishes come true, quickly learns the importance of being careful what you wish for.
Eager to grow up, Abby has been planning for her Sweet 16th birthday ever since she was a little girl. When the big day finally arrives, she excitedly adds her 16th and final wish to the secret wish list she's been keeping. Transformers 3 Details on New Bumblebee and new Autobot

Hey fans!

Its time to transform back into excitement for the new movie in the "Alien Robot" franchise, Transformers 3!

So, last month it was said that the new transformer to join the Autobots would be a Ferrari 458 Italia! It was also said that the beloved co-prime (Bumblebee) would have the new ability of converting. Such as the top of his Camaro veichel-mode form would be visible, but also invisible (or the top would be down.)

Now, this month, it's said that the new Autobot (Ferrari 458 Italia) would almost be taking some what part of Bumblebee's spotlight. (That's gonna suck!)

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Official Extended Trailer

Hey it's Matt! The Official Trailer for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam is now here! No more waiting! It premiered during a new episode of Sonny With A Chance yesterday. I can't wait till this movie! If there was a reward for best movie trailer this would win by a landslide! It's very convincing!



This sequel to the popular Camp Rock movie storyline follows Mitchie (Demi Lovato), Shane (Joe Jonas), Jason (Kevin Jonas), Nate (Nick Jonas) and their friends as they return to Camp Rock for another great summer of music and fun. However they soon learn that a new state-of-the-art music/performance camp, Camp Star, has opened across the lake and has lured away many of Camp Rock instructors and campers—putting the future of Camp Rock in jeopardy. Tess (Meaghan Jette Martin) ditches Camp Rock for the new camp Camp Star! When Camp Star's hotshot performer, Luke Williams (Matthew "Mdot" Finley), challenges Camp Rock to a musical showdown to see which camp really has the stronger musical talent, everyone prepares for the ultimate battle of the bands.
