Big news, everyone! The sequel to Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson & The Sea of Monsters, is officially a go! Recently a director was hired! Chris Columbus sadly isn't coming back to director but only to produce.Thor Freudenthal, who directed Diary of a Wimpy Kid, will be the director of the film. The film will be based on the book, Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monsters. Logan Lerman, who played Percy in the first film, will be coming back.The movie is set to release in 2012. I recommend you read the book first. In the book, Percy must save “Camp Half-Blood” the safe haven where demigods are protected from evil by magic barriers. Someone has poisoned the barriers, so it’s up to Percy and his friends to venture into “The Sea of Monsters” to find the mythical Golden Fleece to save the camp. So I guess this may be what the movie is about. Are you excited for this movie? How do you think it will do?
