What's the Teen Word?- Are Selena And Demi Still Bestys?

Hey guys! It's Matt! This is the first new TE segment ever posted on TE! Now that we started these segments will be in full mode! What's the Teen Word? Well let's just focus on the buzz that's been buzzing around teens lately. Are Selena and Demi still friends? What do I say? I say yes. Just because they don't hang around anymore doesn't mean they are not friends anymore. They are really busy. But I also think that they may not be friends or they just may not be as close friends as they used to be. In a video when Demi was signing autographs for fans a reporter asked her "How's Selena?" and Demi said "Ask Taylor" as in ask Taylor Lautner or Taylor Swift depending on which ever one she was referring to. She either meant ask Taylor because I don't care or ask Taylor because I am busy or ask Taylor because she/he is her best friend now. Remeber when they were on Barney and Friends? I know for a fact I saw those episodes that they were in. When i saw the picture of them on it I recognized them. They were so cute. I actually still like Barney. It's just fun turning it on and watch my baby sister and brother watch it. What do you think? Everyone says they are not friends anymore except that's not completely true. Actually, we don't know if it is or not. I'm trying not to be the blog that tells things when they have no proof. Do you think it is because of their popularity. Maybe they are trying to out do each other. Selena vs. Demi. They were both in great Disney Channel Movies, they both have great Disney Channel Shows, and they even were in a Disney Channel Movie together. And they were on a show together as little kids. They are even both great singers. There is really no competition here. What is so different from the two?They have been friends for a long time and it should be like that forever. The other day I was looking for an agent for when I go into the singing/hosting buissness. I'm seeing if I can get there. I was thinking how my life may change. And I thought that if i want to stay grounded I should put my friends and family before that. And I think the same should really go for Selena and Demi. Well let's see were all this takes us. And that's the Teen Word! C ya!

TEM: Pop/Rock Edition Review

I was so excited to get the first Teen Entertainment Mania and put it on my iPod! It is so good! The songs are all fun and great! I think my favorite song is either "Dear Diary" by Flick or "Bad Romance" by Lady GaGa. I didn't really like the song by Kill Paradise so I took it off and bought some new songs to put on my TEM: Pop/Rock playlist. They are:

New Drew Seeley Website

Every once in a while I like to go to the different sites of the stars that I like. Some of those are Raven Symone, Tiffany Thornton, Debby Ryan, and Drew Seeley (to name a few). And today was Drew Seeley and I was pleasantly surprised! Usually the site is gray...bland...and a little boring. But today it was totally different! I think this gives a good preview to what his music will be. From his new hairstyle there is probably going to be a little bit of an edgy feel to it. The guitar shows rock sounds and deeper lyrics than a pop album.
I seriously can't wait for his music! He is so different from all the other stars that come out of Disney, and it's a good different! And plus, he's Canadian like me! He's got to be good =)

How do you like it? I'm looking for 2 more songs and 1 bonus track. I may take some songs off and add new ones. But i promise I won't fill in the spots that are availible. I want to use the suggestions you all have. I like it but I decided I'm only gonna use the remixes that are already remixed. I don't make good remixes. I'm really excited. First thing is I really want your opinions on the cd cover. I wanted to make it different, so is it good? It's a mix of fun and slow songs and I really like it. If anybody has any suggestions, I'm happy to change a few. PS..I picked the Glee version of No Air because I thought it was kinda wrong to have Chris Brown on a Valentine's CD when he beats the ones he loves...the truth hurts.

So, I know that there are a lot of people out there that aren't a big fan of Valentine's Day...me being one of them. I'm all for giving the fun little Valentine's cards, but a lot of people take it a little too far. Why do we need a day to say "I love you" when we should do it everyday. So I made a cover for an Anti-Valentine's Edition of TEM4. I won't give out the tracklisting, but here's the cover. I love it!

Teen Talk!- This is a segment where we interview a Teen or co-host. If you want to be interviewd just e-mail one of us!

So how do you like them? There will be more trust me. I'm really looking forward to this. Any co-host can post these. It doesn't matter at all which co-host post the vents. Amazon.com has released the information on Disneymania 7. They have the cover without any little trademark things on it and a release date.......drum roll please......MARCH 9TH!!!!! Set your calendars! March 9...march 9...march 9....march 9.....is it on your calendar yet?
Also, Amazon has released the date for Radio Disney Jams 12 for March 30! N.B.T. artist Jasmin's second single will be on this edition.

Alice in Wonderland Soundtrack "Almost Alice"

So I am totally excited for the Alice in Wonderland movie coming out in March. It has an all star cast and is going to be more like a sequel than a remake. It Soo Different I Love It!

Lovely Bones Review.

Hey Guys. I Happened to Catch Lovely Bones on saturday at like around 9 and got home at 1 because i was roaming the empty mall after hours with my cousin, but yeah anyways. This Movie is Amazing, Like Seriously! Im In Love With It! But like i the middle of the movie when Susie (the girl that dies) kept moving around from like place to place. Which had me thinking what if shes still alive. but then i got it once the brother pointed out that shes in the in between. which ment her body was somwhere, Cough* Spoiler * Somewhere in the Killers Basement. ot Guna Say where soo You Guys Ca Go Watch the movie. but anyways, i felty like AJ had like 3 - 4 Lines in the whole intire movie. like really short role. But aways there was this other like Asian Girl who i felt like ive seen her from somwhere mysteriously show up and became best friends with Susie until they reached Heaven, but then you later find out in the movie COUGH! another spoiler, that the Killer killed her aswell. and that hes killed many various girls from the ages 12 - 14 like about 2 that are over, and oe which was really sad that was six. At Points when the mom and dad cried i felt like crying but yet no tears came out. oh well this is a really great movie and i hope you guys go watch it! oh yeah and another thing at a point in the movie the odd girl that ends up befriending Susies about to be Boyfriend close to the end she looks alot like Ashley Tisdale,

Hannah Montana: Miley Says Goodbye and Season 4

A two-part cliffhanger, “Miley Says Goodbye?,” will conclude the current season SUNDAY, MARCH 7 and SUNDAY, MARCH 14 (7:30 p.m., ET/PT both nights) on Disney Chanel. In the episode, which will also be available on DVD from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Miley Stewart faces the biggest decision of her life – whether to say goodbye to her life in Malibu or to listen to her heart and return to her Crowley Corners ranch and beloved horse Blue Jeans in Tennessee.

Meanwhile, Jackson (played by Jason Earles) moves into his own apartment, Lilly (played by actress and recording artist Emily Osment) is contemplating what to do after her mom accepts a job in Atlanta, and Oliver (played by actor and recording artist Mitchel Musso) must decide whether to stay with his two best friends or go on the road to pursue his fledgling music career.

The fourth season, debuting on Disney Channel in summer 2010, will introduce all-new songs, music videos and sets. The storyline finds Miley Stewart questioning whether she has the best of both worlds and if she can continue with her alter-ego, Hannah Montana, or leave it all behind forever to be an ordinary girl. Disney's 2010 Princess, Rapunzel

hey guys it's finally Matt now! Sorry I haven't posted but you can't blame me. I'm really busy. When “The Princess and the Frog” came out, it had been 10 years since Disney has a new princess movie and now they are doing two in a row. 2009 introduced Princess Tiana and 2010 is all about “Rapunzel”. Im guessing there will be some music like all Disney Princess movies because Rapunzel is played by Mandy Moore and Mandy I think is an excellent singer. Rapunzel is also by Brothers Grimm who wrote most of the amazing princess novels Disney uses. This movie reminds me of Enchanted.You know that Disney movie with all the Disney Princess stories mixed in it. Yeah that. Rapunzel looks like the cartoon Giselle. The Princess and the Frog was a great movie. And it's even more better because Disney's first black princess movie would be the best princess movie. So let's see if Rapunzel can beat it. I doubt it but we will have to wait and see.

Ke$ha ANIMAL Album Review.

Hey Theree. Uhm Im Here With a Review of Ke$sha"s New Album. Im Posting This Because I Havent Seen a review of It Yet on the Site. I Bought The Album on My Birthday , but i think it Came Out on the 5th. But Yeah. This Album is Amazing! I'm Suggesting that Everyone Go Buy it Or Purchase It on iTunes for like 7.99 or 6.99 i think? But Yes. This Album IS What We Definetly Needed To Start Off The 2010 Year! Shes a Really Nice singer. The Only problem Is That At Points She sings Really DULL! Not To Be Like Mean Or anything its just like she seems Boring at Some Points. My favorites So far Are * TiK ToK, Your Love Is My Drug, Blah Blah Blah ft. 3Oh!3 & Dinasour(: They Are Like really good Tracks. and i Only Dislike One Song. which is Kiss N' Tell. But Its Gunna Take Me A While To Get Like It. But Yes She Has a Very Nice Techno Type To It. With one Which Is Like Half Dancing type With Like A type of Slowmo, i guess which is Dancing With tears In My Eyes. But i Give This Album (Frm 1-5) 4 Stars. I Really Think You guys Should Like Listen To It. Atleast ON Like Youtubee. But If You Where Planning To buy I Think You Should Really Consider This Album(:

Katharine McPhee Debut Album Review

Katharine McPhee wowed America in season 5 of American Idol. But sadly, she was beaten by Taylor Hicks in the end. Her debut CD started out at #2 on the Billboard charts, but I don't think it was what we were expecting. Katharine McPhee showed her prowess in ballads and alternative hits like "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree". But what 19/RCA Records gave us was a pop/hip-hop album.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of songs that are really good on the CD. Her ballads and softer pop/hip-hop songs are great. But a song about buying flip-flops and sandals? Really? Some of the songs didn't showcase her whole talent. But I think that she had to take this step to get to where she is now.
American Idol can do great things for artists. It can show them to the world and they are immensely popular (Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Daughtry) but then some fall by the wayside and you never hear about them again (Justin Guarini, the guy that looked like Chicken Little, Bo Bice). Then some are stuck in the middle. Some of these are Taylor Hicks, Katharine McPhee, Diana DiGarmo, and Syesha Mercado. All these people have had successful singing and acting careers, but it seemed like they had to "disappear" first.
I think that Katharine McPhee took that step not long after her first record came out. She came back with a few songs on soundtracks and roles in TV and movie. Now. hopefully, she's on her climb. Her new CD is amazing and such a departure from her first!

Michael John's "Hold Back My Heart" Review

Michael Johns finished eighth in the season of American Idol with David Archuleta and David Cook. It was sad to see him go, but I don't think America was ready for his sound yet. Like they say in so many songs and movies, "you don't know what you've got till its gone". I think this was the case with him. We had to see what we were missing to realize how great and unique this new artist was. His CD "Hold Back My Heart" does not disappoint!
I'd always wanted this CD, but when I ordered Caitlin Crosby's on Amazon and say I only needed $11 more to get the free shipping, I added this to my order. It was worth the wait! He has such a classic sound to him. It's mixed with soul, rock, acoustic guitar and piano. The songs are so masterfully written and sung.
My favorite on the whole album is "Little Bear". It's a play on Goldilocks and the Three Bears where he notices someone else has been sleeping in his bed. It's a little grown up, but the song's lyrics keep it clean and so much fun. You get the message without it being to TMI-ish.
Such a good CD, I recommend it to everyone!

Caitlin Crosby "Flawz" Review

When I was researching Jason Castro's tour, I discovered two singers I've never heard of before. One was Matt Hires. He is....okay. His voice sounds like it's in a permanent vibrato and it got a little old. The second was Caitlin Crosby. I listened to her samples on Amazon and iTunes and I was impressed. Her reviews were all pretty good so then I listened to her songs on iLike. By the second song, I knew I needed her CD.
She has such a unique sound. It's earthy and deep and more real. Her voice matches the songs she sings perfectly, because each one has a different message to it. On talks about how our generation needs to be able to live in the same world those before us did. Another talks about how we shouldn't mold ourselves to be perfect, then sings, "imperfect is the new perfect".
Caitlin Crosby is probably one of my new favorite artists. I really like how artists today and bringing back old sounds and making them new and molding them into fresh music. Brooke White and Michael Johns do this and are soooo good at it!
If you go to Wikipedia and look up Caitlin Crosby, it says she was on "That's So Raven!". I've been trying to think of what episode she was in and I think it's the one with Rainbow. Remember, Chelsea has a fundraiser and gets the singer to come and sing at their school and then they all wave carrots instead of lighters. Such a funny episode!
You probably won't be able to find Caitlin's CD at a Barnes & Noble of Target, so order it online. If you order it on Amazon, you'll get $3 of Amazon MP3's. It's a great deal!

Jason Castro "Love Uncompromised EP" Cover Art

DC Dude here with the official cover art for Jason Castro's EP, "Love Uncompromised". I love the look of it! I really think it will lead well into the full album as well. He has a great sound to him. You can check out the samples online on amazon.com!

I'll also be making some cover art for the songs on the EP. I found some really cool pictures from a recent photo shoot and I'm really excited to make them and show them to you all.

Cool & Random Music

So I was roaming on iTunes yesterday (a very dangerous but profitable habit if you are a music fan) and I found some really fun things. The first is from an actress that we all know and have been familiar with for quite a while.

Hayden Panettierre has been acting for quite a while. She has done some music projects, but her only original single is "Wake Up Call". It came out a couple of years ago and she recorded it with Hollywood Records. The reviews on iTunes aren't that good, but it is a really fun pop song! It's always nice to get a fresh song that has a fun beat and catchy tune. She has a unique sound and this song really fits her. The lyrics are a fun play on words too. So if you are craving something new, get this one.

The second is a really cool thing that I think already came out, but I never remembered about it until I saw this. Disney Channel did a special on this too. "Camp Rock Around the World" is a record filled with the Camp Rock favorites in different languages. A lot of them are the same so I only got two songs. "Etre Moi" is the French version of "This is Me". I took French in high school, so it always has a special place in my heart. The song is like Demi's solo acoustic version but to the faster beat of the original. The second song is "Here I Am" by a Disney Channel UK star. "Here I Am" is probably my favorite song in Camp Rock, but to have someone else sing it with a fresh sound is so nice. I really like the new version and recommend it to everyone!

Still roaming the web for Disneymania 7 news and I have a feeling that it's closer than we think. I just found a song by Savannah Outen called "Little Wonders" that's from the movie Meet the Robinsons. All the video posts are from the end of December, which is the most recent of any Disneymania post! So now we have three confirmed tracks!

Debby Ryan's Singing Project

Remember how Debby Ryan sang a song on the beauty pageant episode of Suite Life? Well, I've done some research and she's done a few more music projects. On her website, she's said that she has recorded a single that she is "waiting to introduce". HELLO!?!? We are sooooo ready! But here's the exciting part! She also says "I did a song for a Disney project that I can't talk about right now" =0!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?! So excited and so curious about what it is! Here is my theory:
Disney Channel stars usually record a song for a special edition DVD (Cruella DeVil & Selena Gomez, When You Wish Upon A Star & Meaghen Martin). On the DVD for "Up!", there is a preview for another special edition of the classic Dumbo. So, Debby Ryan might singing and doing a music video for Dumbo? Possibly? And then, that song going onto Disneymania 7? PLEASE!!!!!!
If you can't tell already, I'm desperate for Disneymania 7!

Katharine McPhee "Unbroken" Review

Katharine McPhee's sophomore album came out on Tuesday, after a three month delay. I've been waiting for this for about a year, ever since they relaunched her website.
From interviews and hearing the album, this CD is a part of who Katharine McPhee is as an artist and person. Kind of like Taylor Swift's "Fearless", but a little more personal. There are so many great songs on this record, and so many have lyrics that just speak to you.
The first is probably "Had It All". From hearing her describe this song, I think she's describing her experience on Idol how she had everything but it all just slipped away.
"Say Goodbye" is such an amazing and powerful ballad. I had my friend listen it to when it was released and she almost cried. To me, it talks about someone who can't say goodbye to someone and is doing all they can to not face the fact that a relationship is done or a loved one has passed away. SUCH AN AMAZING SONG!
"Anybody's Heart" is another great song that is about the aftermath of a bad relationship. It's about how one just walk away and she sings "...and the heart you broke, no it wasn't just anybody's heart"
This is such a great comeback of Katharine McPhee! Her first CD with Idol seemed so wrong for her and her vocal talent. I can't wait to see more things from her!

"Fame" Soundtrack Review

Yesterday while my sister and I were out shopping, I remembered that the movie "Fame" comes out next week. I'd always wanted the soundtrack to it, so I got it! It is probably one of the best movie soundtracks that I've ever heard. What's really cool about it is that not all the songs are sung by the cast. Naturi Naughton does an amazing job with the theme "Fame" and then she accompanies Collins Pennie on several songs that are REALLY GOOD! Fun Fact: Collins Pennie was in "Prom Night"...he was the only boyfriend that lived in the end.

Asher Book from VFactory does an awesome job on the soundtrack as well. He does a few songs and they are some of the best on the CD. My favorite song on the entire CD is probably "Black & Gold" by Sam Sparro. It has such a catchy beat to it. It's really fun to listen to that song and then "Crank it Up" by Ashley Tisdale. Blast those two songs in your car and it is soooo fun!

"Fame" comes out next Tuesday, the 12th!

Orianthi "Believe" Review

October of last year came the emergence of a new artist, Orianthi. Her single was free on iTunes and she performed on a results show of So You Think You Can Dance. She also appeared in Michael Jackson's concert documentary as his guitarist. That being said, the way I got the CD is a pretty cool story.
Remember the last post when I talked about getting the dollar off the Ashley Tisdale CD? Well, by doing that I qualified for a $5 credit for Amazon MP3. They gave a link to their $5 MP3 CDs and they had a ton! Lots of new stuff and some old classics. I didn't realize I was getting a free CD until afterwards, but was it worth it!
Orianthi is an awesome artist. All her songs have the rock edge to them, but have a great pop sound. She plays the guitar in all her songs and even has a whole song devoted to a guitar solo!
She has a great voice and is very unique! The only artist I can think to compare her to is Lesley Roy, and she's pretty unique as well!
So, onto Amazon, buy a CD, get the $1 credit, buy another CD, then (hopefully) you'll get your $5 credit. Another CD that you could get for free was Timbaland's "Shock Value II" which has Miley Cyrus featured on it.....although the song that she sings is not that great. But for free...why not?

DC Dude's Review of Ashley Tisdale's "Guilty Pleasure"

Happy New Year everybody! Hope you had an awesome time ringing in the New Year! To celebrate, I bought Ashley Tisdale's CD "Guilty Pleasure" on Amazon MP3 and only paid $7! Here's how! You order a CD, and then you'll get a dollar credit for your next music purchase. Then you get the super cheap MP3 version of the song even cheaper! Then you go onto iTunes and get the bonus tracks. After doing all that, the whole thing is cheaper than going out and buying it.

I'd always kind of wanted her new CD. After listening to the samples on iTunes and Amazon, you could tell that it was going to be pretty good. Then when I learned that it was named #7 album of the year and #7 of the decade, I had to get it. So when I pre-ordered Katharine McPhee's CD, I got the perfect opportunity. I snatched it up at the low price and I've probably listened to it a total of 4 or 5 times in the past day. It is seriously that good! It's probably the best pop album I've ever heard....EVER! This CD just proves that she is not a Disney singer, but her own artist doing what she wants.

The album has such a great opening with "Acting Out". You hear this orchestra in playing this hugely epic song, then it switches over to a rock sound. SO AWESOME! But that is just the beginning. You then go to "It's Alright, It's OK", with it's cathcy lyrics and great vocals. There are so many good songs on this album that it's hard to pick a favorite. So I picked two =)

My first is "How Do You Love Someone". The song begins with such a deep instrumental that you can't help but love it. The lyrics are so amazingly powerful that you just want to hear the song over and over again! She goes back and forth, saying how she doesn't know how to love someone because she doesn't know what it is or looks like. It's a very empowering song, but at the same time is sad. Here is this person who's past haunts them continually, stopping them from letting love in their life. This song would make a great music video!

Second favorite is "Crank it Up". It is such a fun pop/hip-hop/dance song! You can't help but dance to it! Words are hard to use in describing how fun this song is!

If you buy this CD (which you should), go onto Coverlandia to put the album art to the songs. They have a ton of awesome ones, including the ones from this post! Props to you and awesome job!

Possible Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Tracklisting

Hey guys! It's Matt! I found this possible Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam tracklisting. It may be real because it has the song It's On on it and we heard parts of that song on the sneak peek Disney Channel aired so this may be real. You never know.
It has some songs twice so maybe Camp Rock performes one and Camp Star performes one. I don't know but this is on other sites to so let's just obsorve it for now. LOL!
