On the 8th, Kermit and Tiffany Thornton's Christmas single was released. I love their song "I Believe". It encompasses everything about Christmas and just stepping back and noticing everything that it has.
iTunes and Amazon.com have been doing a pretty cool thing for the Christmas season. Every week, iTunes releases two free singles, but this month they were Christmas songs! Most were good, but what do you expect from a free song? They also have a Holiday Sampler with 20 more free songs. Most of those are good too, but again, it was free. Amazon had a free song everyday up to today. Those are just....okay.....most are a little wierd. But, the one song they don't have showing that is for free is Jason Castro's "White Christmas". He was on American Idol with David Archuleta and Brooke White (can you tell I don't like David Cook?). His version of the song is so calm and really makes the song better than it was. I think the reason it's free is because his recording company that he did the song with dropped him and then didn't know what to do with the song.
Don't forget! Tomorrow is the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade. The Jo Bros & Demi are going to be on as well as one of my all time favorite singers....CELINE DION! I think it starts at 8 in the morning....see you then!
Actually, that song was recorded and released last December, before Jason was signed anywhere. He has since been signed with Atlantic, is beginning a tour with Matt Hires in January, and has an album scheduled to be released this coming spring. You can check out his tour schedule on his website (http://www.jasoncastromusic.com).
ReplyDeleteI love his version of White Christmas, too! It really fits the lyrics and, as you say, is so calm at the same time.
