Transformers 4 Confirmed!

Hey fans!

This past summer, the third and last film of the Transformers franchise, Transformers Dark of the Moon, was released. It earned well over one billion dollars worldwide and took place as the 4th Highest Grossing Film of All Time and second of the year 2011, behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Transformers Dark of the Moon has been nominated for three Academy Awards, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Visual Effects. You can tune in and root the Transformers crew on during the Oscars this Sunday, February 26th @ 7e and 4p.

Now, the director of the Transformers franchise, Michael Bay, has confirmed that there will be a Transformers 4 coming June 27th, 2014. There is no story written or characters thought of, just ideas; the film only has a confirmed release date and is in talks. It will not be reboot but what the producers call, a re-imagining, which is said to be Transformers from a different point of view.

We don't know to many details yet, but the director will be back to start the gear after he finishes his film Pain and Gain with The Rock and a television series he plans to produce.

Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, and Don Murphy are all returning to produce the next trilogy, but it is not known on whether Shia Labeouf and leading lady Rosie Huntington Whiteley will be returning. Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson were pretty optimistic and are dedicated to the franchise, and seem to be happy to return.
